Castro is Voice of Democracy

Hall High School student Yesenia Castro (center) was named the Voice of Democracy winner in a contest sponsored by the Peru VFW Post and Ladies Auxiliary. She received her award from VFW Ladies Auxiliary District 9 President Ramona Haberkorn (left) and Donna Mueller, Peru VFW Post president and Ladies Auxiliary. Castro was one of 14 students of teacher Ann Maller’s class who completed essays for the contest.
