Now that those Christmas cookies and other holiday treats are nothing more than a memory — and a few extra pounds on the hips — many Bureau County residents are focusing on a New Year’s resolution to get back into shape. The Bureau County Metro Center is eager to help residents work off those holiday pounds and inches. Administrative assistant Tammy Lange said a variety of classes and equipment are available to help everyone look and feel his or her best, such as Steve Grundman, seen here working out in the weight room. Many other fitness establishments and gyms around the county are also offering special rates and deals to help you get rid of those extra pounds.
