Candidates from communities around Bureau County have thrown their hats into the ring for the April 9, 2013, consolidated election.

Among the contested races are mayoral races in Bureau Junction, Spring Valley, Tiskilwa and Wyanet. Contested trustee/commissioner/alderman races are set for Cherry, DePue, Malden, New Bedford, Spring Valley, Walnut and Princeton. DePue voters will also decide on a contested village clerk race.
