Fire department holds annual supper

MANLIUS — Manlius Fire Department held its annual supper Dec. 13 at the Manlius Lutheran Church.

The monthly meeting was conducted with 11 members present.

Election of officers were: Aaron Roush, fire chief; Rob Allen, assistant fire chief; Bob Neahring, first lieutenant; Chris Maynard, second lieutenant; Justin Doty, president; B.J. Jensen, vice president; and Mary Hartz, secretary-treasurer.

Bob Neahring was thanked in appreciation for 14 years as fire chief.

The application for Samantha Neahring was submitted for membership. A vote will be held at the next meeting.

Donations checks were received from Lester Kropf and the First Baptist Church of Manlius. A check and a card were received from Royal Neighbors of America Chapter 1491 for the use of the meeting room.

A thank you note was sent to the Lutheran Church for serving the meal.

A check for $150 was given to United Way for Christmas toys for kids.

The Christmas party will be held at 6 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Prime Quarter.

Attendance awards were won by B.J. Jensen, Mary Hartz and Ben Doty.

The next regular meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 10 at the firehouse. The lunch committee will be B.J. Jensen and Larry Rowland.
