Auxiliary and Legion to meet Wednesday

PRINCETON — American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary Unit 125 of Princeton will conduct its monthly business meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Legion post home.

Discussion will be heard on upcoming fundraisers along with other business on the agenda, including the Unit’s after Christmas party. There will be a sign-up sheet provided for those members attending.

All interested in eligible membership should attend this or any scheduled meeting or call membership chair Carol Allicks at 815-872-7891 or the post home at 815-872-1171 and leave a message. While the Unit membership stands at 100 percent, new members are always needed and most welcome.

VA&R information can be had by calling chair Clara Pease at 815-872-0430 or the post home and leave a message. Monetary donations are always welcome for the projects the Unit does for veterans in local nursing homes and overseas troops. Roger L. Eickmeier American Legion Post 125 of Princeton will also hold its business meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Anyone interested in membership with the Legion should attend this or any scheduled meeting on the second Wednesday of each month at the post home, located at 1549 W. Peru St. in Princeton or ask any Legionnaire for information.

The agenda will include the upcoming rummage sale, scheduled for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 25 and 26 at the Legion home. Call the post home for information at 815-872-1171 and leave a brief message and phone number.

The Legion building is available for family gatherings, funeral meals, birthday and anniversary parties, bridal and baby showers, small receptions, rummage sales, business meetings, fundraisers, etc. For more information, call 815-872-1171.

A light lunch will be available after the meetings.
