Bridge meeting to be held

SPRING VALLEY — A public information meeting for replacing the bridge carrying Route 89 over the Illinois River south of Spring Valley will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Spring Valley City Hall, located at 215 N. Greenwood St.

There will be no formal presentation. Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) personnel will be available to receive input, provide information and answer questions about the study. Related exhibits will be available for the public to review and provide comments. Exhibits and comment sheets will be available at the City Hall for two weeks following the meeting.

All interested people are invited to attend and participate. Information displayed will describe two alternative design plans. IDOT is still seeking feedback. A final decision will be made after gathering input from this meeting and further consultation with design engineers.
