Little Pom clinic
PRINCETON — The Princeton High School Pom Pon squad will have a Little Poms clinic from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 18 in Prouty Gym at Princeton High School. This clinic is for girls ages 4-12 years and is $35 per person ($30 if you have more than one child participating). Participants will receive a T-shirt, a pair of poms and perform a dance routine that night at the PHS boys’ basketball game. The deadline for registration is Jan. 11. DIXON — An education program by the Rock River Branch of the Alzheimer’s Association and United Way of Lee County will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 16 at 93 S. Hennepin Ave. in Dixon. The program provides information on detection, causes and risk factors, stages of the disease, treatment and much more. There will be a $5 material charge. SPRING VALLEY — The regular meeting of the Dominic OBerto American Legion Post will be at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Knights of Columbus rooms, 307 W. St. Paul St., Spring Valley.
PRINCETON — Friends of the Princeton Public Library will hold its “Third Thursday of the Month” used book sale from 2 to 8 p.m. Jan. 17 in the sale room at the library. There will be a wide selection of paperbacks and hardbacks.
PRINCETON — The Northwest Princeton unit of Home Extension will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Lou Brown. Lou Brown will give the lesson, “Grandparents have an important role in a child’s life,” and also furnish the auction gift.
PRINCETON — The annual meeting of Bureau Valley Volunteer Hospice will be at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 21 in the multi-purpose room on the fourth floor at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. The public is invited to attend.
PRINCETON — The Princeton Moose Lodge will host a bingo night at 7 p.m. Jan. 15. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and sandwiches will be available for purchase.
