Chrissi Rich of Yorkville and Matthew Johnson of Yorkville are announcing their engagement. She is the daughter of Bill and Julie Rich of Wyanet. He is the son of Steve and Bonnie Johnson of Sugar Grove.

The bride-elect is a 2009 graduate of Princeton High School. She is continuing her education at Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove for her Associate in Applied Science for Administrative Assistant. She is a certified nurse’s aide at Tiller’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Oswego.

Her fiancé is a 2008 graduate of Kaneland High School and received an Associate in Applied Science for Automotive Technology from Waubonsee Community College in the fall of 2012. He plans to attend Southern Illinois University and receive his bachelor’s degree. He is a custodian for West Aurora School District 129.
