DIXON — On Jan. 1, 2013, Gail F. Greene was welcomed into heaven by her Lord and joyfully reunited with her husband, the Rev. Richard W.Greene. Her death followed a short illness.

Born in Omaha, Neb., to Dr. David and Lenore Findley, Gail Greene graduated with honors from Monticello College, Alton, and earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from the Northwestern University Evanston Hospital School of Nursing. She married the Rev. Richard W. Greene on May 18, 1963.

Gail's professional resume included a teaching post at Illinois Valley Community College, Oglesby; staff position at Presbyterian-St. Luke's Hospital, Chicago; and more recently as executive director of In-Home Care, Princeton.
