Fitzgerald’s closes its doors

PRINCETON — Fitzgerald’s Piano Lounge in downtown Princeton at 432 S. Main St. has closed its doors.

A sign on the front door states the business will “indefinitely” be closed as of Jan. 1.

Owner John Reinhardt said he and his wife decided to close the business for awhile because they are trying to sell it.

“We wanted to take a break and concentrate on selling it,” he said. “My wife and I thought it was in our best interests to sell.

“We don’t have the time to run it with four boys,” he added. “We made it through the holidays and are trying to sell it, since we closed it.”

Reinhardt added that the business wasn’t closed because of economic concerns despite rumors to the contrary.

“It was a thriving business,” he added. “We have run it for five years.”

Reinhardt also said Heartland Bank in Princeton is the landlord of the building where Fitzgerald’s and other businesses are located and still owns the building, despite rumors the bank had sold it.
