Tuesday’s match-up of future Three Rivers Conference foes in Orion proved to be a near dead heat. In the end, after four quarters of play and an overtime period, the host Orion Chargers prevailed over the Princeton Tigers 31-29.

Tiger coach Jesse Brandt said while both teams shot poorly, both played good defense, enabling the low-scoring affair. PHS shot 27 percent from the field at 10-37, only 23 percent on two-point field goals (5-22)

“We had our chances,” Brandt said. “We gave up two offensive rebounds in overtime that probably were the difference in the game.”
