PMH to recognize 'Wear Red for Women Day'

PRINCETON — To raise awareness among local women that heart disease is their No. 1 health threat, Perry Memorial Hospital will recognize “National Wear Red for Women Day” on Jan. 31.

National Wear Red Day is a day when Americans nationwide wear red to show their support for women's heart disease awareness; and Perry is encouraging their employees and the community to show their support by wearing red.

Brenda Streit, Perry Memorial director of marketing, stated, "Our recognition of this campaign is a great opportunity to reach out to women in our community and alert them to their personal risk factors for heart disease. By joining together we can raise awareness locally about heart disease and help lead women on the path to prevention."
