Eugene Stacey sentenced to prison

PRINCETON — A Princeton man has been sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to the Class 4 felony of driving while license suspended/subsequent offense.

Eugene R. Stacey, 55, entered his open plea of guilty on Oct. 11, 2012, before Circuit Judge Marc Bernabei and was sentenced on Jan. 7 to serve one year in prison. Stacey was also ordered to pay total fines, fees and costs of $286 by Nov. 13. He was credited with 21 days served in the Bureau County Jail.

Stacey was represented in court by Public Defender Michael Henneberry. Prosecuting the case was First Assistant State’s Attorney Anthony Sciuto.
