The program for the evening will be a video presentation titled “Little Germanies.” These were cities or towns settled across America that provided for the needs of immigrant Germans. Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission in some states), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.

PERU — The First Congregational Church in Peru will host a free soup and sandwich meal from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 1431 Fourth St. The public is invited to attend. The church is handicap accessible.
