OGLESBY — Illinois Valley Community College trustee Leslie-Anne Englehaupt of LaSalle resigned from the board in a letter dated Jan. 8 to IVCC Board Chair Dennis Thompson.

Englehaupt was elected to a six-year term in April 2009. There are about two years and three months remaining on her term. The board will formally act on her resignation at its 6:30 p.m. Jan. 15 meeting and has already begun the process of filling the vacancy.

“Leslie-Anne was a thoughtful and passionate advocate for IVCC, our students and our staff,” said President Jerry Corcoran. “The fact she stepped forward to serve says so much about her commitment to the community and the value of higher education. I sincerely appreciate everything she has done for our college.”
