SPRINGFIELD — Connor Etheridge, the son of Steve and Sandy Etheridge of Springfield, was recently awarded the Boy Scouts’ highest honor of Eagle Scout.
The 16-year-old Sacred Heart Griffin junior earned 25 merit badges and hiked the south rim of the Grand Canyon. As a member of Troop 97, sponsored by the Sugar Creek United Methodist Church, Etheridge held the offices of assistant senior patrol leader, patrol leader and chaplain’s aide.
