Making a PROMise
PRINCETON — The sometimes challenging search for a prom dress might have gotten a bit easier this year with a “PROMise Sale” hosted by the First United Methodist Church of Princeton.
Spokesperson Amy Thompson said the church is now accepting donations of new and gently-used prom, pageant, bridesmaid and evening dresses, plus accessories, at the church, located at 316 S. Church St. The church hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with receipts available for tax-purposes during those hours.
In addition to the church site, Jay Schneider, owner of the Apollo Theater in Princeton, is offering a free bucket of popcorn for people who bring a prom dress during Jan. 25-31 to the theater. There will also be popcorn bucket coupons available at the church during the Jan. 25-31 time.
