Dr. Coventry receives recredentialing

Dr. Steven Coventry, one of the St. Margaret’s diagnostic radiologists from Hospital Radiology Service, recently passed his recredentialing board exam required by the American Board of Radiology. The ABR began limiting board certification to 10 years in 2002 for all those completing residencies in that and subsequent years. Coventry completed his residency in 2003 at OSF-St. Francis in Peoria and has been on staff at St. Margaret’s since he began practicing in the Illinois Valley at that time.

Coventry holds a master’s degree in medical radiation physics from the University of Health Sciences and is a graduate of the Chicago Medical School in North Chicago. Prior to beginning his core radiology training at St. Francis, he completed a transitional year internship at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago. He is certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography as a registered physician in vascular imaging and as a registered vascular technologist.
