Mary Taylor

PRINCETON — Mary M. Taylor, 86, of Princeton passed away on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Liberty Village of Princeton.
She was born Dec. 26, 1926, in Jacksonville, Ill., to Donald and Marie (Maloney) Clancy. She graduated from Routt High School in 1954 and from Hardin Brown Business College a year later. She worked at First State Bank in Princeton for several years and was a lifelong homemaker.
She married Leo D. Taylor on June 21, 1947, in Jacksonville. He died in 2000. She was an active member of St. Louis Catholic Church.
Survivors include six children, Beverly (Tom) McDonough of Indiana, Leo "David" (Vickie) Taylor Jr. of Missouri, Nancy O'Connor of Ladd, Kathy (Leonard) Fitzpatrick of Elburn, Karen (Brian) Suarez of Princeton, and Michael (Kelli) Taylor of Mattoon; 12 grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Barbara Wheatley in 2000; and two brothers, John Robert and James Clancy.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Father Jeffrey Stirniman officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Norberg Memorial Home.
Memorials may be directed for the family for charitable disbursement.
