WALNUT — John Pogliano Sr., 91, of Walnut died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

John was born Aug. 15, 1921, in Coal City, the son of  John and Vena (Stellone) Pogliano. He was united in marriage to Darlene Perry on March 2,  1946, at Immaculate Conception Church in Morris.

John was a life-long farmer in the Coal City and Walnut area and was a seed corn salesman since 1973. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, where he served as a trustee for many years, and was a member of the Farm Bureau. He was a 4-H leader for many years and a tax assessor for 18 years.
