Festival 56 announces adult auditions

PRINCETON — Festival 56 is announcing auditions for its 2013 summer season.

Auditions, for ages 14 and up, will be held at The Grace Performing Arts Center, 316 S Main St., Princeton, at noon Feb. 16. They are looking for male and female singers, and dancers for ensemble in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and male actors, ages 16 to 40. for in Shakespeare’s "MacBeth."

Singers should prepare a verse and chorus of a musical theatre song. An accompanist will be provided, so singers should bring sheet music in the appropriate key. Auditioners may also be asked to stay and dance and/or be given pages from the script to look over and read from. Questions regarding the auditions should be emailed to Laura Brigham at casting@festival56.com with the words ‘local audition’ in the subject line.

Children 13 and under can participate in "Joseph" via Theatre Camp 56. Information regarding that will be available in May.
