PRINCETON — Today, Thursday, Talk About: Survival Skills in the Wild will be presented by Jason Thompson at 6:30 p.m. at the Princeton Public Library.

On Monday, the Monday Night Movie will be shown at 6:30 p.m. A classic fairy tale with swordplay, giants, an evil prince, a beautiful princess and true love, as read by a kindly grandfather (played by Peter Falk). This film, directed by Rob Reiner, is based on William Goldman’s novel. Cary Elwes and Robin Wright juggle romantic fervor and physical slapstick effortlessly, while supporting roles boast Mandy Patinkin (the swordsman Inigo Montoya), Wallace Shawn (the incredulous schemer Vizzini), and Christopher Guest (evil Count Rugen) with brief but funny cameos from Billy Crystal, Carol Kane and Peter Cook.

On Tuesday, the preschool story hour will take place at 10:30 a.m., and the theme will be snow. Talk About: Music Program: TV Theme Songs and Jingles will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Sing along with pianist Charlie Gebeck and program coordinator Ron McCutchan and reminisce about your favorite shows, play “Name that Tune,” and break for commercials. Audience members are encouraged to think of a favorite tune or jingle to sing or hum as a stumper for the rest of the group.

On Jan. 31, Talk About: Basic Book Repair and Maintenance with library curator Margaret Martinkus will be presented at 6:30 p.m.

WYANET — The Raymond A. Sapp library’s January book group will meet at 7 p.m. today, Thursday in the adult collection room. The group is reading Irving Wallace’s “The Man.” Written in 1964, the book’s premise runs parallel to the assassination of JFK, with a twist. The public is welcome to read the book and join in the sure to be lively discussion.

WALNUT — Winter Adult Enrichment Classes have been scheduled at the Walnut Public Library. All classes are on Saturdays beginning at 9:30 a.m. The cost of the classes will be kept at $10. If the cost is more than $10, it will be noted. All classes will be held at the library, except for the CPR class. Payment for the class must be made at the time you reserve your spot.
