PAC will offer watercolor painting for beginners
PRINCETON — The Prairie Arts Center in Princeton will offer a watercolor painting for beginners class for high-school age students and adults. The class will be taught by Mary Michael.
This class will teach participants the basics to get started. Students will learn different brush styles and techniques to achieve a desired result. They will learn the difference between watercolor paper vs. sketchpad paper, dry technique vs. wet technique. Students will practice techniques in class and at home. They should bring several different sized watercolor brushes to class. Paint and paper will be provided by the instructor the first night of class.
Classes will be Mondays, Feb. 11 through March 4, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. The cost is $45 for PAC members; $50 for non-members. The registration deadline is Feb. 8. Space is limited. To register, call 815-875-2787 or mail a check to the Prairie Arts Center, 24 Park Ave. East, Princeton, IL 61356.
