HBR tops Lions

LAMOILLE – This season’s basketball powerhouse, the Hinckley-Big Rock Royals remained unbeaten in the Little Ten Conference Friday night, defeating the LaMoille/Ohio Lions 61-37.

With the victory, HBR improved to 18-3, 6-0, while the Lions, who took to the court for the first time in 10 days, fell to 4-16, 1-6.

Zack Michels (11 points), Conley (11), Jared Madden (10) and Michael Bayler (9) led HBR’s offense, including seven treys in the first half.

L/O’s Brandon Morris supplied game-highs of 18 points and 11 rebounds.

HBR’s frosh-soph squad claimed the prelim game, as well, 46-35. L/O’s Alan Stamberger (9 points) and Tracer Mills (8) led the younger Lions.
