The Illinois Valley YMCA Dolphins swim team placed second in a triangular meet in Rock River Valley on Saturday against host and first place Rock River Valley and the Ottawa YMCA Dolphins in third place with 302 points.

Princeton resident Caden Brooks, 9, swam in three events for the Dolphins. Brooks swam a time of 39.10 in the boys' aged 9-10, 50-yard freestyle swim event and 47.61 in the back stroke event in the same division. He placed fifth in the 50-yard butterfly swim with a time of 56.30. His time was 6.26 seconds faster than his previous personal best.

The next Dolphins home swim meet will be Feb. 9  at the Peru YMCA.
