Bake sale

PRINCETON — The Tri-County Humane Society will have a bake sale starting at 9 a.m. Saturday at TSC in Princeton. They will have goodies for Valentines and pets.

HCCC luncheon

PRINCETON — The Hampshire Colony Congregational Church Woman’s Circle will meet in the Hampshire church parlor for luncheon and social hour at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 14. To confirm attendance, call hostess Judy Topham at 815-872-5052. The Circle will continue its Mission project of “Count Our Blessings” for community disbursement at year’s end.

Support group

SPRING VALLEY — LaLeche League of the Illinois Valley, a breastfeeding support group, will meet at 10 a.m. Feb. 21 in Spring Valley. This monthly group helps mothers gain knowledge and support from other breastfeeding moms. February’s discussion will revolve around, but not be limited to, “The Family & the Breastfed Baby. Red Hats event

PRINCETON — The Princeton Red Hats will celebrate “Love the Red Hats” at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Princeton Elks Lodge. Those attending are asked to bring a Valentine for everyone.

Quilters meeting

HENRY — The Marshall Putnam Quilters Guild will meet Feb. 13 at the Henry Presbyterian Church. Activities will include a morning workshop from 9 a.m. to noon with a nine patch exchange. The nine patches will be used to make quilts for community service programs. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. The program will be a demonstration of cathedral window piecing by Penny Waldrip.
