SENICA — The fourth annual Black & White Ball is set for Feb. 23 at Senica’s Oak Ridge Ballroom on Route 6 between Ottawa and LaSalle.

The special evening begins at 5 p.m. with music, appetizers and professional portraits by Annette Barr Photography. A formal dinner and dancing follow until 11 p.m.

Bidding opens at 5 p.m. on the raffle and silent auction items. The live auction begins at 8 p.m. As in the past, all proceeds benefit Easter Seals of LaSalle and Bureau Counties.

Ottawa Business Builders has selected Easter Seals because of the many lives impacted by the agency. Each year more than 500 children are served by Easter Seals. Without Easter Seals of LaSalle and Bureau Counties, many children would go without services or their families would be force to drive out of the county for services.

Over the past three years, through the generosity of individuals and businesses, OBB has donated more than $33,000 to Easter Seals. The goal for 2013 is $15,000. In order to meet that goal, OBB is seeking event sponsors through cash donations, as well as donated items for the raffles, and auctions.

This year, the Black & White Ball is two weeks before Easter Seals’ 33rd annual Telethon. Easter Seals has agreed to include telethon sponsorship in conjunction with Black & White Ball sponsorships.

Those with questions about services at Easter Seals should contact Susan Bursztynsky, president/CEO of Easter Seals of LaSalle and Bureau Counties at 815-434-0857 or at sbursztynsky@il-lb.easterseals.com.

If anyone has any questions regarding the ball or wishes to make a donation, contact Black & White Ball Co-Chairs Cherie Reynolds at 815-433-3222 or cherie.reynolds10@yahoo.com or Tami Thomas-Leonatti at 815-433-2539 or tthomas@qltycarecleaning.com.
