Samuel Jackson

KEWANEE — Samuel N. Jackson, 78, of Kewanee passed away at 5:49 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at his home.

He was born July 7, 1934, in Winchester, Ill., the son of Nicolas and Ethyl (Inskip) Jackson. He married Shirley (Stewart) VanDamme on Nov. 23, 1983, in Kewanee. She survives, as do children, Andy (Lori) Jackson, Randy (Kelli) Jackson, Jane Damn, Christy Jackson and fiancé Al Ehnle, Thomas (Dawn) VanDamme Jr. and Tammy (Stan) Johnson, all of Kewanee; his sisters, Hazel Fengle, Norma Dyer, Irma Calhoun and Charlotte Plasencia; his brothers, Gilbert, James and Nicholas Jackson; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Martha Jackson, Alice Click, Betty Dober and Cora Lene Lashbrook; five brothers, Carl, Edward, Franklin, Jerry and Rowland; and a daughter in infancy, Sandra Ann Jackson.
