Annawan Grade School will play for the Class 1A seventh-grade State championship

Annawan won the Ottawa Marquette Regional and then the Flanagan Sectional to advance to Saturday’s State Tournament at St. Joseph. On Saturday, the Braves defeated Champaign New Generation 33-24 in the opening round. In Saturday’s semifinals, evening, Annawan defeated Mulberry Grove 42-12.

The Braves (21-2) will face Dieterich (22-2) in the championship game at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Dieterich beat Chrisman 52-35.
