Breakfast in Buda

BUDA — A pancake and biscuits and gravy breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Buda Community Hall. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for ages 4-12.

Lenten event

PRINCETON — The Suarez family will perform during Wednesday’s Lenten musical meditation and luncheon at the Hampshire Colony Congregational Church in Princeton. The meditation begins at 12:10 p.m. in the sanctuary and will end at 12:30 p.m. when lunch will be served.

Bureau County reunion

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The annual Arizona Bureau County reunion will be Feb. 28 at J.J. North (formerly Hometown Buffet) at 1312 North Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale, Ariz. The buffet will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Chili/soup supper

PRINCETON — The Open Door 4-H Club will have its annul chili/soup supper from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Princeton. Tickets are $5 per person, with children age 5 and under free.

Fish fry

OHIO — The Ohio Booster Club will host a fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at Ohio Schools and Pipe’s Pub on Main Street. The menu will be fish, potato salad, baked beans, bread and dessert. Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens (60 plus) and students age 12 and under. Delivery will be available in Ohio. For carry-outs, call 815-376-4414 or 815-376-2934.

Lost Jim performance

PRINCETON — Lost Jim (Jim Ohlschmidt) will perform at the Princeton Coffeehouse at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Lost Jim features the songs of Mississippi Jojn Hunt in his performance. Tickets are $12 at the door. Homemade desserts and fair trade coffee will be available. The coffeehouse is located at the Open Prairie UCC, 25 E. Marion St., Princeton. Lenten service

PRINCETON — St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church (Church on the Hill), 15199 2825 East St., rural Princeton, invites the public to a Lenten service of evening prayer at 7 p.m. Wednesday and again Feb. 27. Scripture reflections will focus on faith practices modeled after Jesus’ own life, death and resurrection so “That We May Follow Our Savior.” A simple soup and sandwich supper is offered prior to the service at 6 p.m. All are welcome.

BCGS meeting

PRINCETON — The Bureau County Genealogy Society will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Society library, 629 S. Main St. in Princeton. The program will be the fourth installment of the series titled “A People Disappears” from the DVD series “Germans in America.” The meeting free and open to the public.

Wild game supper

MANLIUS — The Manlius Sportsmen’s Club wild game supper will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday. This is for members and a guest; new members are welcome. Memberships are $20.

Spaghetti supper

SHEFFIELD — The Sheffield United Methodist Church will serve a Fat Sunday spaghetti supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. The menu will include spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, dessert and drink. Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for ages 4-10. Proceeds will go toward church projects.

Woodcrafters meeting

PRINCETON — Woodcrafters Unlimited will meet Thursday at the Bureau County Senior Center, 16 W. Marion St. in Princeton. Show and tell will start at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting will be at 7 p.m. John Damon, a noted scroll saw artist, will put on a demonstration of the different kind of scroll saw work that he does. BUREAU ­— The First Congregational Church of Bureau invites the community to its Lenten services. The service at 7 p.m. Wednesday will be “The Acceptables.” Refreshments will follow. The church is at 101 W. Nebraska St.
