Pyszka commits to ‘Necks

PERU — St. Bede standout Joe Pyszka has decided to become a Western Illinois Fighting Leatherneck.

Pyszka signed to play football on national signing day Wednesday. The 6-5, 270-pound senior from Mendota was recruited to play offensive line. He will be majoring in biology.

“I committed there this past weekend. I’m on a full scholarship there. It just felt like the right place to go. I am really excited about it,” Pyszka said.
