Grand jury returns indictments

PRINCETON —A Bureau County grand jury heard the following cases on Feb. 8 at the Bureau County Courthouse in Princeton:

• Dean W. Blair, 20, of DePue was indicted for the Class 3 felony of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. He is accused of possessing a .17 caliber rifle at a residence in DePue on Jan. 24. Blair is not allowed to possess firearms because he was convicted of felony theft in 2012 in Bureau County. Chief Deputy Tim Trevier with the Bureau County Sheriff’s Department testified before the grand jury. Blair is in custody with bond set at $25,000.

•  Adam S. Budde, 32, of Princeton was indicted for the Class 3 felony of theft. He is accused of stealing more than $300 from a Princeton business on Nov. 26, 2012. Investigator John Shofner with the Princeton Police Department testified before the grand jury. Budde is free from custody, having posted 10 percent of a $20,000 bond.
