Task force arrests Dalzell woman
DALZELL — A Dalzell woman has been arrested on drug charges by the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team (Tri-DENT).
Christina M. Weibel, 29, was arrested Saturday, Feb. 9, by the Tri-DENT task force, with the assistance of the LaSalle Police Department, following a lengthy investigation into Weibel’s narcotic activity in the the LaSalle County and Bureau County areas.
Tri-DENT and the Illinois Valley Special Response Team executed a search warrant on Weibel’s residence and recovered about 16 grams of purported cocaine. Pending further investigation, a Bureau County arrest warant was issued for Weibel. She was taken into custody on Feb. 9 by the LaSalle Police Department.
With the assistance of the Bureau County State’s Attorney’s office, Weibel was charged with the Class 1 felony of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, cocaine. She was transported to the Bureau County Jail where she posted $3,000 bond and was later released.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
