MENDOTA — Carol Jean Savage, 82, a resident of the Mendota Lutheran Home, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at the home.
Born July 9, 1930, in Mendota to Lawrence and Melinda (Mathesuis) Cromwell, she married James Savage Aug. 26, 1979.
She was a cook for the Red Brick Cafe in LaMoille, and a member of the First Congregational Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Susie (Michael) Dolan of Amboy; three sons, Larry (Mary) Cromwell of LaSalle, Marvin Cromwell of Greensboro, N.C., and Robert (Lisa) Besix of Clarmont, Fla.; one brother, Robert (Ann) Cromwell of LaMoille; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, three brothers and one grandson.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Congregational Church, LaMoille, with the Rev. Rick Wulf officiating, Burial will be in Restland Cemetery, Mendota.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.
