Snowed in at Harvard Yard
PRINCETON — Last week’s blizzard along the East Coast provided one Princeton native with a welcomed chance to slow down a bit and relax.
Princeton High School graduate Haley Adams, now a sophomore at Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass., said the snow began last Friday and continued through much of Saturday. The university had been proactive about the approaching blizzard and had already announced on Thursday the school and classes would close down as of noon on Friday.
In a telephone interview on Tuesday, Adams said there was no snow on the ground when the blizzard started, but there was about 2 feet of snow by the time it ended. She had gone for an early morning run on Friday, attended a 10 a.m. class, and then headed back to her room on campus. The snow started about noon and just didn’t stop, she said.
