The great cookie exchange at Parent University

Jane Taylor (left) and Joann Bowman make cookies for the Princeton High School Parent University cookie exchange Tuesday night. The event was sponsored by the 21st Century Community Learning Center, which is funded by a federal grant. The program was part of the 21st Century Parent University program, which allows parents to get together in a fun atmosphere, socialize and learn parenting skills along the way. The parents each went home with a plate filled with cookies. The Parent University focused on cooking the past two sessions. The next Parent University in the spring will focus on grilling and outdoor foods. Parents should watch the school’s website for more details. Julie Swedman is the grant coordinator. Teachers who helped with the cookie exchange were Wendy Fredrickson and Emily Happ.
