A card shower is being planned to celebrate the 95th birthday of Mary May, currently a resident of Colonial Hall Care Center in Princeton. A gathering of family and friends will be from 2 to 4 p.m. March 3 at Colonial Hall.

Mary was born on March 6, 1918, near Deer Grove. She is the mother of 10 sons, Bill (Judy), John, Greg and Larry Jensen, all of Princeton, Bob Jensen of Chicago, Jim (Teresa) Jensen of Plano, Gary (Deb) Jensen of Dublin, Ohio, Thomas Jensen of Peoria and Steve (Pam) Jensen of Rockford. Her son Kevin Jensen died on Sept. 15, 1973. Mary also has 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She retired from Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton after 32 years of service and also provided home health care assistance to others for a number of years after her retirement.
