PRINCETON – Today, Thursday, Friends’ Book Sale will be from 2 to 8 p.m. in the back of the library; the ITC Education Committee will meet at 4 p.m. in the local history room; and a creative writing workshop with Joan Marella will be held at 6:30 p.m.

On Monday, the Princeton Theater Group will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the library meeting room; the Monday Night Movie will be at 6:30 p.m. The featured movie was released in 1965, and is the fifth in a series of beach party films. Singer Sugar Kane is unwittingly being used by her agent for publicity stunts for her latest album. For example: Faking a skydiving stunt, actually performed by Bonnie. Meanwhile, Frankie takes up skydiving prompted by Bonnie, who secretly wants to make her boyfriend, Steve, jealous. Eric Von Zipper and his Malibu Rat Pack bikers show-up, with Eric falling madly in love with Sugar. The film takes a Perils of Pauline-like twist with the evil South Dakota Slim kidnapping Sugar and tying her to a buzz-saw.

On Feb. 28, an after-school craft day will be from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the youth services area.

TISKILWA –  Head librarian Karyn Stark encourages everyone to visit the library’s new website at www.tisklib.org.

“Anyone with Internet access can utilize this new library tool,” she said. “We are pleased to offer everyone the ability to search our collection by using the search box in the upper right hand corner of our home page. WALNUT — Winter Adult Enrichment classes are at 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays. All classes will be held in the library, except the CPR class. The cost of classes is $10. If a class charges more than $10, it will be noted. Payment for the class must be made at the time you reserve your spot. Reservation payments can be sent to Walnut Public Library, P.O. Box 728, Walnut, IL 61376-0728, or stop in at 101 Heaton St.

Feb. 23: Paper Bead Class … The group will make a variety of beads, sizes and shapes and learn techniques for stringing beads to make jewelry. All materials will be provided.
