PCA registration opens to public Feb. 25-28
PRINCETON — Princeton Christian Academy will open registration for the 2013-14 school year to the public next week, starting Monday and running through Thursday, with an open house every day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Families are invited to visit the academy at any time during this week to tour the school, to speak with administrators and teachers, and to observe classes while in session. Children are welcome to participate in classes to get a feel for PCA education.
PCA will not be in session March 1, due to a large speech competition at Peoria Christian School. Appointments for more convenient times may be made through the school office by calling 815-875-2933.
Princeton Christian Academy offers classes for students in preschool through grade eight. A full spectrum of education is provided, using the highly acclaimed A Beka curriculum in all core subjects. Additional studies in Bible, Spanish, art, computers, speech, theater, gardening, vocal music and instrumental music are offered as well.
PCA students compete in academic contests of speech, writing, spelling, math, art and music, as well as athletic competitions in boys’ and girls’ basketball, volleyball and track.
Students present two dramatic productions each year, along with a talent show, a science and art fair and regular school programs. Technologically, Princeton Christian Academy is staying current with the recent installation of a brand new computer lab and the use of smart boards in several classrooms. All students receive regular training in keyboarding, Power Point and other computer skills.
Enrollment in Princeton Christian Academy is dependent upon student screenings and parental interviews. Financial aid is available for families who qualify, as well as the national school free and reduced lunch programs. Families are encouraged to consider PCA early, as all class sizes are limited to a maximum of 15 students. Princeton Christian Academy is located two miles northeast of Princeton on Route 34, and is a ministry of Princeton Bible Church.
