Possible attempted break-in
PRINCETON — The Princeton Rotary Club, which meets in the Princeton Elks Lodge, was cancelled Tuesday morning after a possible attempted break-in at the lodge was reported by an Elks staff member.
Princeton Police Department arrived at the lodge around 8:15 a.m. to investigate the scene. Police Chief Tom Root said while the staff member was attempting to unlock the lodge for the day, she noticed possible new key marks had been scratched on the door as if someone had tried to get inside the building.
Root said no evidence was found that anyone had actually gotten into the building.
