Tanglers advance Twelve wrestlers from Tiger Town Tanglers advanced to sectionals wrestling out of the Chillicothe Regional, including regional champions Peyton Hammerich and Alex Peck and runners-up Joseph Peacock, Brody Spencer, Matthew Harris and Mason Goodrum. Also advancing were third-place finishers Augie Christianse and Braden Boyles, fourth-place finishers Kody Mongan and Charlie Korey, fifth place Luke Peacock and sixth place Gio Romagoli. The Bantam Division finishers who do not advance include first-place finishers Ace Christiansen, Nathaniel Irizarry and Andrew Peacock, second-place Mikey Kurth, Gavin Lanham, Tristian Lasson and Robert Nelson. PHS awards night PRINCETON — The PHS girls basketball awards night will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the school cafeteria. All student-athletes and parent-guardians are invited. SVWC meeting SPRING VALLEY — the first meeting of the season for the Spring Valley Walleye Club will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Spring Valley Boat Club. The Master’s Walleye Tournament will be held March 23-24. IVVP tryouts Tryouts for the Illinois Valley Volley Power volleyball club will be held Friday for 11U and 12U and March 10 for 13U and 14U at lllinois Valley Community College. There is a $35 nonrefundable tryout fee. You must also have a current USA Volleyball membership to try out. MBA Fish Fry MANLIUS — The annual Manlius Baseball Association fish fry and league sign up will be held March 8 at the Manlius Sportsmen’s Club, serving from 5-7 p.m. Volunteers are needed as well. The MBA holds this fundraiser to allow the kids to play for free. LL Road Show PERU — Illinois District 20 will host a Little League Road Show and Umpire Clinic at 9 a.m. March 9 at the Illinois Valley YMCA. The presenters for this training session will be from Williamsport, PA and Indianapolis. This program is for league presidents and all other board members.
