Doreen Heilstedt

HENRY — Doreen R. Heilstedt, 77, of Henry died at 7:20 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

Born Aug. 26, 1935, in Henry to Raymond and Marie (Forgerty) Pairan, she married Harold “Howie” Heilstedt May 14, 1955, in Henry. He preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 1999.

She retired after 28 years of service at Ag View FS in Henry and worked part-time at Kelt’s and Henry Foods.

She was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Henry and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was past president.

Surviving are her five daughters, Gwen (Bill) Balensiefen and Paula (John) Webber, both of Sparland, Jeanette (Marty) Carter of Washburn, Ruth Kinsley of Henry and Audrey Heilstedt of Princeton; seven grandchildren, Jenny (Stevone) Hardin, Vanessa (fiancée Steven Connelly) Kinsley, Shane Carter, Ashley (fiancée Stephen Meinders) Carter, Dave Webber, Matthew Webber and Chad Heilstedt; two great-grandsons, Brett and Bryan Connelly; one brother, Joe (Deb) Pairan of Henry; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Donna Bogner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Henry, with Father Tom Mizeur officiating. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Putnam.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home, 513 Carroll St., Henry. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Friends of Strays in Princeton or St. Francis Cemetery.
