Richard and Sarijane King of LaMoille are announcing the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Mindi King, to Donald Dropek of Nichols, Iowa. He is the son of Dale and Linda Dropek of Nichols, Iowa.

The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of St. Bede Academy in Peru. She received a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2002 from Augustana College in Rock Island a degree in mortuary science in 2008 from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling. She is employed as a funeral director at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary in Davenport, Iowa.

Her fiancé is a 1994 graduate of Louisa-Muscatine High School in Muscatine, Iowa, and is employed with the Muscatine County Highway Department as a road grader operator.
