Walter Brasen

WALNUT — Walter James Brasen, 68, of Walnut died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at his home in Walnut.

He was born July 9, 1944, in Chicago to Walter W. and Helen E. (Sawyer) Brasen.

He worked at ALM as an assembler until his retirement.

Surviving are two brothers, James (Kathryn) Brasen of Nashville, Tenn., and Robert (Donette) Brasen of Walnut; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Garland Funeral Home, Walnut, with the Rev. Eldon Cook, pastor of the Walnut Community Bible Church, officiating. Burial of cremains will be at 1 p.m. March 7 in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Northlake.

A time of sharing will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
