Three generations of the Boroski family have graduated from Hall High School. Members of my family have served on the board, coached teams and donated time to the school.

Over the many years, we have seen much change. In 1999, the school board was faced with the decision to build a new school or bring the building up to code; the board decided to fix the existing building, receiving 75 percent of the cost from the state and not burdening the taxpayers. Nearly 15 years later, we are again faced with the same question and increased costs. Do we build a new school for $32 million or bring the building up to code for $18 million?

In order for our students to be able to compete not only in academic areas but in vocational ones as well, we need Hall’s facilities to be equipped with modern teaching equipment and for our facilities to be able to handle the changes in technology that frequently occur.
