VACAVILLE, Calif. — Mildred I. “Millie” (Tomaszewski) Zupancic, 81, of Vacaville, Calif., formerly of Peru, went to be with her Lord on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Vacaville Convalescent Center.

Millie was born July 11, 1931, in Peru to Charles and Clara (Wiese) Tomaszewski of rural LaSalle. She attended Brayson School, which was the original “one room” school in Dimmick Township. She later attended LaSalle-Peru High School. She married William Kneebone in 1950. They raised one son, Bill, and then later divorced. She then married John “Red” Zupancic on Dec. 31, 1960.

Millie was employed by the Sunstrand Corporation of Peru for 25 years until retiring in 1992. She then moved to California to be near her son Bill and his family.
