LL Road Show
PERU — Illinois District 20 will host a Little League Road Show and Umpire Clinic at 9 a.m. on March 9 at the Illinois Valley YMCA. The presenters for this training session will be from Williamsport, PA and Indianapolis. This program is for league presidents and all other board members. LAMOILLE — The LaMoille/Ohio Lions boys basketball team will hold a fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings in Peru on March 11 Fifteen percent of the profits from 5-9 p.m. will got to the LHS Sports Boosters. Tickets are available at the high school at no charge.
PHS awards night
PRINCETON — The PHS girls basketball awards night has been rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. March 11 in the school cafeteria. All student-athletes and parent-guardians are invited.
OGLESBY — Tryouts for the Illinois Valley Volley Power volleyball club for 13U and 14U will be held March 10 at llinois Valley Community College. There is a $35 nonrefundable tryout fee. You must also have a current USA Volleyball membership to try out. MBA Fish Fry
MANLIUS — The annual Manlius Baseball Association fish fry and league sign up will be held Friday, March 8 at the Manlius Sportsman Club, serving from 5-7 p.m. Volunteers are needed as well. The MBA holds this fundraiser to allow the kids to play for free.
PRINCETON — The 5th annual Girls Got Game Princeton Shootout, sponsored by the Princeton Athletic Booster Club, will be held March 16-17 at Princeton High School.

OGLESBY — Illinois Valley Community College’s men’s baseball team will host a youth baseball clinic from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. March 23 on the IVCC baseball field, weather permitting, or gym. Please arrive 30 minutes early for sign-in.
The clinic will teach proper skills and improve baseball knowledge. Bunting, hitting and base running will be covered in the morning session and throwing and defense in the afternoon session. All day campers need to bring a lunch and their glove. All equipment should be labeled.
The camp is open to youth in grades 3-8. Cost of attending one session is $30 or $50 for both sessions. Checks should be made payable to IVCC Baseball. For information, call coach Eric Pinter at (815) 224-0505.
