Nathan Adkins

CHANDLERVILLE — Nathan James Adkins, 25, of Chandlerville passed away at 3:52 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013.

He was born June 2, 1987, in Springfield to Rocky and Jill (Morris) Adkins.

He was a member of the Havana United Methodist Church and the American Simmental Association.

Surviving are his father, Rocky Adkins of Chandlerville; his mother, Jill Adkins Zeeck of Havana; one brother, Taylor Adkins of Chandlerville; one stepbrother, Andy Wright of Columbia, Mo.; his stepmother, Becky Adkins; his stepfather, Brent Zeeck; his maternal grandparents, Donald and Charlotte Morris of Yorkville, formerly of the Tiskilwa and Princeton area; his paternal grandmother, Catherine Adkins of Honolulu, Hawaii; his aunts and uncles, Sara Klaus of Yorkville, Nancy Adkins of Chandlerville, David (Jamie) Morris of Crystal Lake and Michael (Jane) Morris of Princeton; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Oakleigh “Stony” Adkins Jr.; and one aunt, Debbie Adkins.

Services were held Feb. 17 at the First United Methodist Church, Havana, with the Rev. Sidney Davis officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Chandlerville.

Visitation was held Feb. 16 in the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana.

Memorials may be directed to the Havana United Methodist Church.
