Good citizen recognitions

The Princeton-Illinois chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution hosted a luncheon Friday in recognition of teens in Bureau and Putnam counties chosen by their schools as recipients of the DAR’s Good Citizen Award. Attending the luncheon, held at the First United Methodist Church Hall in Princeton, were (front row, from left) Trevin Kennedy, Bureau Valley High School; Delmi Valle, DePue High School; Jacquie Wallaert, Hall High School; Jacob Hofer, Henry-Senachwine High School and Meredith Stamberger, LaMoille High School; and (back row) Father Dominic Garramone, guest speaker at the luncheon; Emmalee Sears, Princeton High School; Bradley Groleau, St. Bede Academy; and Princeton Christian Academy student Noah Irizarry, winner of the Princeton DAR’s American History essay contest. Absent from the photo was Putnam County High School winner Cody Veronda. (Ohio High School did not participate in the program this year.)
