Alberta Spohn

OHIO, Ill. — Alberta M. Spohn, 102, of Ohio, Ill., died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

Born May 16, 1910, in East Grove Township, the daughter of Fred and Louise (Lempke) Bolbock, she married Philip F. Spohn Feb. 11, 1931, in Maytown. He preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1989.

Surviving are three daughters, Betty Hoover of Harmon, Louise (Richard) Yob of Milwaukee, Wis., and Marilyn (Clarence) Blaine of Sublette; one son, Donald (Georgine) Spohn of Ohio, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Garland Funeral Home, Walnut, with Father Thomas Shaw, pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Ohio, Ill., officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ohio, Ill.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
